Trump’s first 100 days
In its first 100 days, the Trump administration frequently highlighted infrastructure as a key priority, proposing a $1 trillion investment plan focused on public-private partnerships and regulatory reform. While no formal plan was introduced, President Trump issued Executive Order 13766 to expedite environmental reviews for high-priority infrastructure projects and held meetings with industry and state leaders to discuss potential strategies.
Despite the emphasis on infrastructure, the administration did not advance any legislation during this period. The focus remained on setting the stage for future efforts by promoting deregulation and streamlining permitting processes, especially for energy-related projects. Substantial policy action or funding commitments, however, were notably absent in this early phase.
